More Rain, Thunderstorms To Roll Through City This Weekend

Chicago, ILLocal News

Chicagoans face a weekend of unpredictable weather, with showers and thunderstorms expected Friday and Saturday. According to meteorologist Casey Sullivan from the National Weather Service, Friday will feature cooler temperatures in the 70s and lower 80s, with a higher chance of rain after sunset. On Saturday, temperatures will warm to the upper 80s, and potential thunderstorms may occur in the afternoon and evening. Sunday promises to be the best day, with drier conditions and temperatures returning to the lower 80s. ComEd reported that 87,000 customers experienced outages after thunderstorms hit Thursday night, with 6,600 still affected as of Friday morning.

The National Weather Service's outlook indicates a return to 90-degree temperatures on Monday, which may further complicate weekend plans. Residents are advised to stay updated on weather conditions as they make weekend plans. Local businesses and outdoor events may experience disruptions due to the unpredictable weather patterns.
