Longtime Chicago Frame Shop Helendora Samuels Picture Framing Moves To West Town
Helendora Samuels Picture Framing has relocated from Wicker Park to West Town, opening last week at 1851 W. Chicago Ave. after operating for over a decade at 1736 W. North Ave. Known for framing works for high-profile clients like the Chicago Bulls and White Sox, owner Tommy Samuels has dedicated nearly 50 years to the craft.
The new location is smaller, but the couple is optimistic about attracting loyal customers through increased foot traffic. Their commitment to personalized service remains strong, encapsulated in their slogan, “You name it, we frame it. ” Tommy Samuels emphasized the personal responsibility that comes with framing artwork, stating, “You get one crack at people’s art. ” The couple is also actively involved in community service through their church, which hosts drives for local children. As they settle into their new space, Helendora Samuels has already begun initiatives for school backpack donations.
