Sol Space Yoga And Coworking Studio Joins Growing Jefferson Park Shopping District

Chicago, ILLocal News

Sol Space, a new yoga studio and coworking space, opened its doors in Jefferson Park this month, becoming part of the vibrant Lawrence Avenue shopping district. Co-owners Georgena Hurst and Jackie Bravo Vicere aim to create a community center that offers diverse resources, including yoga classes and a childcare program through a partnership with Sunny Village Kids Cafe. Hurst, who founded Sunny Village, was inspired by her own experiences as a new parent during the COVID-19 lockdown. Vicere, a mother of two and a certified yoga instructor, plans to host photography workshops and support local artists through monthly events. The grand opening is set for Saturday, and the studio will continue to provide coworking space alongside yoga classes.

Hurst and Vicere hope to eventually reintroduce child care with yoga classes. Sol Space adds to the growing list of businesses along Lawrence Avenue, contributing to the neighborhood's development. The community-focused initiatives aim to foster connections among local parents and residents.
