The Bear Gets 13 Emmy Nominations, Including Directing Nod For Actress Ayo Edebiri
“The Bear” received 13 Emmy nominations for its third season, a drop from last year's record-setting 23. Ayo Edebiri made history as the first woman nominated for both acting and directing in a comedy series in the same year. The show competes for Outstanding Comedy Series, causing some to argue it fits better in the drama category. Fellow nominees include “Abbott Elementary” and “Hacks. ” Additionally, actors Jeremy Allen White, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Liza Colón-Zayas received nominations in major acting categories, continuing their recognition from last year.
Notably, the series did not receive writing nominations for this season. The winners will be announced during the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards on September 14. “The Bear” continues to be available for streaming on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.
