Lontray Clark, 23, faces multiple charges, including murder, for allegedly setting his ex-girlfriend's apartment building ablaze in Austin, resulting in four fatalities, including a child. The fire occurred on June 26, following Clark's discovery of his former girlfriend's new relationship with a friend. Firefighters found three victims, including a 76-year-old man and two sisters, in the building, while a 4-year-old boy remains hospitalized. Surveillance footage captured Clark filling a container with gasoline and purchasing items before the fire. Witnesses reported Clark admitting to a friend that he had ignited the building.

Nearly 30 residents were displaced by the blaze, which investigators confirmed was started by an ignitable liquid. Clark, who previously served time for firearm possession, is awaiting trial. The community mourns the loss of the victims, highlighting their impact on local lives.
