These 3 Free Concert Series Are Back On The Northwest Side This Summer

Chicago, ILLocal News

Three popular free outdoor concert series will kick off this weekend in Chicago's Logan Square and Avondale areas. The Live on Logan concert series, which began in 2020 to help struggling musicians during the pandemic, will start its sixth year on Sunday at Palmer Square Park, featuring Pan Dulce with Eric Hines. Moods + Foods, celebrating its 10th anniversary, will take place every Thursday at Solidarity Triangle, inviting attendees to enjoy performances alongside meals from local restaurants. Kilbourn Park's concert series, organized by the volunteer-run Kilbourn Park Advisory Council, will feature local artists every Friday until July 25. Each concert series emphasizes community support, with donations helping to fund artist fees, set at $750 per performance.

The events aim to foster a vibrant local culture and support the arts, with varied genres represented across all series. Additionally, new food options will be available at Kilbourn Park, responding to community requests. These concerts provide an opportunity for residents to engage with local talent and enjoy summer evenings outdoors.
