Chicago Breakfast Restaurant, located at 5419 W. Devon Ave. , opened two weeks ago, founded by chef Ernesto Mendoza. The restaurant serves a diverse menu that includes both American and Mexican dishes, reflecting Mendoza’s rich culinary background. He started his career at Big Top Diner, where he honed his skills over 25 years before operating a taco stand for 17 years.

Mendoza aims to provide authentic Mexican flavors often lacking in American diners, creating a menu that excites customers with options like chilaquiles and omelets. The restaurant operates from 7 a. m. -4 p. m.

on Mondays and 7 a. m. -7 p. m. from Tuesday to Sunday.

Mendoza's vision includes a welcoming atmosphere for the community, which he believes has embraced his new venture. Former customers from his previous jobs have already begun to visit. This establishment marks a significant addition to Edgebrook's dining scene, fulfilling Mendoza's long-held dream.
