The parade begins at the intersection of West Sheridan Road and North Broadway, following a revised route for better safety and emergency access. Ald. Bennett Lawson emphasized the significance of unity amidst rising national challenges. Supt. Larry Snelling confirmed that the Chicago Police Department is enhancing security measures and providing medical support due to expected temperatures in the mid-90s.

Attendees should utilize public transportation to minimize traffic issues, as several bus routes will be altered. Organizers will honor community leaders, including TaskForce Prevention & Community Services, for their advocacy in health equity and LGBTQ+ rights. Last year, despite a successful event, more than 50 arrests were made, highlighting the need for vigilance.
