Chicago, ILLocal News

Julia Campione, owner of Good Omen Tattoo, will host Chicago's first Tattoo Lady Fest from September 5-7, featuring 18 female artists from around the world. Campione, who has been tattooing for 11 years, created the event to empower women in a male-dominated field. The convention includes live tattooing, music, and refreshments, with a raffle benefiting local nonprofits like Erie House and Brave Space Alliance. Raffle tickets, priced between $150 and $500, can be purchased during the event or at Campione's shop until September 7. General admission tickets will be available for $20 starting July 1, with VIP options at $30.

This festival not only celebrates female tattoo artists but also highlights the progress made in Chicago for women in the industry. Campione's dedication to her craft and community is evident as she aims to inspire others through this event. The convention marks a significant milestone in her career, taking place in the city where her tattoo journey began.
