Kittitas County Sheriffs Office maintains patrols for Decker, asks residents for help
Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) continues its search for Travis Decker, wanted for three counts of first-degree murder, with elevated patrols in the Blewett Pass area. The search has entered its 11th day, with KCSO utilizing visible patrols, drones, and K-9 units to locate him. Recent reports from hikers prompted search teams to focus on Ingalls Creek Trailhead, where a helicopter spotted a hiker fleeing from the area. Chelan County Sheriff Mike Morrison confirmed ongoing communication with KCSO and support from neighboring counties, stating, “There is nowhere that he's going to be able to go that we don't have units waiting for him. ” Decker is described as dangerous and has wilderness survival skills, increasing the urgency for public assistance.
Authorities urge residents to remain vigilant and report any unusual sightings or information. KCSO has requested that anyone with information contact Kittcom or the U. S. Marshals, who are offering a reward of up to $20,000. The community's awareness is deemed crucial for a swift resolution to the search.
