Chelan County Sheriff remains optimistic as search for Travis Decker continues

Authorities continue to search for Travis Decker, charged with the murder of his three daughters, whose bodies were discovered in a remote area near Leavenworth. The extensive search operation involves local, state, and federal agencies, including the FBI and U. S. Marshals. Sheriff Mike Morrison stated they remain optimistic about locating Decker, who is considered armed and dangerous.

Investigators are interviewing Decker's associates and utilizing cellphone forensics to gather more information about his whereabouts and mindset. Despite reports of possible sightings along East Leavenworth Road and in McCall, Idaho, none have been confirmed as Decker. The sheriff emphasized the importance of collaboration with the Prosecutor's Office to ensure a solid case if Decker is captured. A reward of $20,000 is being offered for information leading to his arrest. Decker is described as a white male, 5-foot-8, weighing 190 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
