Manson Chamber of Commerce to host open house at new Wapato Way location

Chelan, WALocal News

The Manson Chamber of Commerce will host an open house on June 28 from 1-4 p. m. to celebrate its new visitor center at 590 E. Wapato Way. Manager Susan Templeton highlighted that the new site, previously an old Wells Fargo bank, provides more space and a more accessible location than their former Hale Street address.

Volunteers played a crucial role in the renovations, which included installing new carpeting and completing extensive cleaning and painting. The visitor center now includes a space for community meetings and a small souvenir shop that sells Chamber-specific items, avoiding competition with local downtown businesses. Increased foot traffic has already been noted since the move, with Templeton praising community support for their efforts. This relocation aims to foster greater community engagement and boost local tourism efforts. The chamber closed for two months to prepare the new location, underscoring the commitment of volunteers and the community.
