The Manson Library is Being Reimagined!

Chelan, WALocal News

The Manson Public Library will temporarily close on May 19, 2025, to undergo renovations as part of a $10 million Reimagining Spaces Project. During the closure, patrons can visit the Chelan Public Library to pick up holds and participate in programs. The library's book drop will be closed, and materials can be returned to other NCW Library locations. Over 350 community members provided feedback that influenced the design, emphasizing communal seating and maximizing views of Lake Chelan. Planned renovations include new flooring, mobile shelving, and a children's area with moveable furniture.

The library will also upgrade its entryway for ADA accessibility, supported by two grants awarded to the Manson Public Library Board. The project aims to create a safe and flexible space that meets the community's needs. Community engagement remains a critical aspect of ensuring the library evolves in line with local priorities.
