Manson Interact Club to share Guatemala trip highlights
The Manson High School Interact Club will host a presentation on May 6 at 6:30 p. m. in the high school gym to discuss their recent service trip to Guatemala. During their visit, students engaged in community projects, including library refurbishments, and developed cross-cultural relationships with peers at the Nuestra Señora de los Remedios Girls School in Jalapa. The event will showcase the students’ experiences and the positive impact of their work.
Founded in 2023, the Interact Club functions as the youth branch of Rotary, adhering to its mission of "service above self. " With 22 active members, the club undertakes at least two local service projects annually while planning to expand its international outreach. This initiative reflects a growing commitment among youth to engage in global service efforts. The presentation offers a platform for students to share insights that emphasize the importance of cultural exchange and community service. Local residents are encouraged to attend and support the students' efforts in making a difference.
