Victim of Shooting in East Wenatchee Succumbs to Injuries

East Wenatchee police apprehended a 44-year-old man suspected of fatally shooting his 48-year-old neighbor on April 18, 2025. Officers responded to reports of gunfire near 9th Street NE and North Baker, discovering the victim with a critical gunshot wound to the chest. Despite immediate life-saving measures, the victim later died from his injuries. Witnesses identified the neighbor as the shooter, leading to a coordinated response from Douglas and Chelan County Sheriff's Offices, Wenatchee Police, and the Washington State Patrol. The suspect was located and arrested without incident, subsequently booked into Chelan County Regional Jail.
