Six startups selected to compete for 200,000 at Flywheel Investment Conference
The Flywheel Angel Network has selected six startups to compete for more than $200,000 in investments at the Flywheel Investment Conference, set for May 21-23 in Wenatchee. The event will host hundreds of founders, investors, and business leaders, starting with a welcome reception and concluding with the announcement of winners. Finalist companies include Grace & Able, which develops FDA-registered medical devices for joint pain relief, and LensBase, which provides a solution for contact lens insertion difficulties. MarineSitu, a spinoff from the University of Washington, offers underwater monitoring with high accuracy. NewGem Foods produces fruit and vegetable wraps targeted at health-conscious consumers, while OoNee focuses on harvesting overpopulated sea urchins to protect local kelp forests.
Pioneer Biofuels has developed technology that reportedly increases biogas yields by over 50%. The Flywheel Investment Conference is organized by the NCW Tech Alliance and aims to stimulate innovation in the Pacific Northwest.
