Chelan, WALocal News

The Chelan Public Library's Storytime program has temporarily relocated to the Lake Chelan Community Center during renovations to the library. Storytime sessions, offered free of charge, occur at 10:30 a. m. on the first and third Wednesdays of each month. Supervising librarian Vivian Edwards praised the Community Center for its welcoming environment, emphasizing its role as a gathering place.

The program enhances early literacy skills for young children through interactive stories and songs. In addition to Storytime, Edwards plans to introduce tech-help sessions at the Senior Center and a “Curiosity Club” for local students. Maribel Cruz, executive director of the Community Center, expressed excitement about this collaborative effort to support families. The partnership ensures that vital literacy programs continue despite the library's closure. For more information, families can visit NCW Libraries' website or contact the library directly.
