East Wenatchee Police arrested three suspects connected to a potential drive-by shooting on October 17, 2025, after receiving reports of gang activity near Eastmont Park. Witnesses observed individuals in gang attire flashing signs before fleeing the scene. Officers located the suspects in the 100 block of 9th St NE, where two of them were found with concealed firearms, including one reported stolen from Grant County. In a separate incident the same day, a 44-year-old man was arrested for DUI after a hit-and-run collision at SR 28 and 3rd St SE. Officers employed spike strips and a Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT) maneuver to bring the suspect's vehicle to a stop.

The driver tested with a blood alcohol content of . 15, nearly twice the legal limit. These incidents reflect ongoing public safety challenges in East Wenatchee, particularly related to gang violence and impaired driving. The police department continues to prioritize community safety and rapid response to reported threats.
