Chelan, WALocal News

The Lake Chelan Health and Wellness Foundation presented a $15,000 check to EMS Director Ray Eickmeyer during the Annual Guild B “Paint the Town Pink” luncheon on Oct. 6. The event, themed “Reach the Unreachable,” aimed to raise funds for a Utility/All-Terrain Vehicle designed for emergency rescues in remote areas. Contributions exceeded $50,000, bolstered by an anonymous donor who guaranteed matching funds. In addition to the primary fundraising efforts, attendees engaged in a “Dessert Dash” and a “Wine Pull,” contributing to the total raised.

The luncheon sold out, demonstrating strong community support for local emergency services. Participants expressed gratitude for the excellent food and service provided by Sorrento’s Ristorante. This initiative reflects ongoing efforts to enhance emergency response capabilities in the Lake Chelan area. The equipped UTV will significantly improve backcountry rescue operations, ensuring timely assistance in critical situations.
