Chelan PUD to present The Power of Saving Energy at Ruby U Speaker Series

Chelan County PUD will present “The Power of Saving Energy” at the Ruby Theatre on October 23 from 7 to 8:30 p. m. The presentation will address energy challenges facing the Pacific Northwest and explain why Chelan County boasts some of the lowest electric rates in the country. Representatives from Chelan PUD will discuss their surplus electricity generation and how it benefits local customers by offsetting costs. The event will also highlight successful energy-saving initiatives from Manson Schools and local businesses, providing concrete examples of effective measures.

“Energy challenges are on the horizon, but by taking action now we can ensure power remains reliable and affordable for our community,” said Chelan PUD. This initiative aims to empower residents and businesses with practical ways to conserve energy and maintain affordable electricity for future generations. The Ruby U speaker series seeks to enhance community understanding and engagement. Doors open at 6:30 p. m.
