Lake Chelan business earns national recognition for home watch services
Lake Chelan Home Watch earned its 13th accreditation from the National Home Watch Association, which was founded to uphold standards for home watch services across the U. S. and Canada. Owner Ron Trickett left a successful building career in Seattle to create a full-time service in Lake Chelan over a decade ago. Initially, he helped friends and neighbors by checking on their homes, but demand led to the establishment of a professional service.
Trickett famously coined the phrase “neighbors doing favors” at a 2014 NHWA conference, emphasizing the priority of safety over property. The service provides scheduled visual inspections, alerting homeowners to issues such as storm damage and vandalism before they escalate. Seasonal residents particularly benefit from this service, gaining peace of mind when away from their properties. Beyond his business, Trickett engages with local organizations, including the Manson Chamber of Commerce and Habitat for Humanity, reflecting his dedication to community support. This holistic approach strengthens the fabric of the community he now calls home.
