Apple Walk highlights Chelan Valley orchards and local businesses
The Lake Chelan Valley hosts a week-long “Apple Walk” from September 28 to October 5, inviting residents and visitors to celebrate the apple harvest. Organized by the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce, the event emphasizes the Valley's apple heritage, with nearly 10,000 acres of orchards producing popular varieties. Participants can collect stamps from local businesses by picking up a free passport at Chamber offices, with a completed passport enabling entry into a prize drawing. Participating businesses include Chelan Toys & Sweets and Rootwood Cider Co. , which will highlight different facets of the apple industry.
Last year’s event drew strong attendance, and organizers anticipate increased participation this year due to more locations joining the walk. The event aims to foster community engagement while supporting local commerce. Office hours for passport pickup are Monday through Friday from 9 a. m. to 5 p.
m. and Saturday from 10 a. m. to 4 p. m.
