The Lower Sugarloaf and Labor Mountain Fires have prompted a community meeting at 6 p. m. tonight at the Entiat School District Building, which will also be streamed online. The fire has expanded to 13,326 acres, leading to Level 1, 2, and 3 evacuation advisories in the Entiat River Valley. Firefighters are working to control spot fires and prepare for burn operations to mitigate the fire's advance.

Crews are focusing on constructing fire lines and conducting operations along Forest Service Road 78 and Forest Service Road 52. The Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest has enacted a forest closure to ensure public safety. Residents can access evacuation information via Chelan County Emergency Management’s website. An evacuation shelter is available at Warehouse Community Church in Entiat for those affected. Smoke is visible in nearby communities, prompting an Air Quality Alert from the National Weather Service.
