East Wenatchee Police Apprehend Bank Robbery Suspect
On September 16, 2025, police arrested a 42-year-old man suspected of robbing People’s Bank in East Wenatchee. This suspect had evaded capture after a separate robbery in Wenatchee and was wanted by U. S. Marshals for another bank robbery. Following a hold-up alarm, officers surrounded the bank and attempted to communicate with employees inside.
Officer Brandon Johnson had circulated the suspect's photo to local banks earlier that day, enabling employees to recognize him. Upon exiting the bank, the suspect attempted to flee but surrendered when he realized he was surrounded by police. The apprehension occurred without incident, showcasing effective coordination among law enforcement. This incident highlights ongoing efforts to combat bank robberies in the region.
