The FBI confirmed that bones recovered during a grid search near Rock Island Campground in Leavenworth, WA, are animal remains, not human. The two-day search, conducted on August 25 and 26, aimed to locate Travis Decker, the suspect in the murder of his three daughters. During this extensive operation, search teams covered nearly 250 acres of challenging terrain. The FBI Seattle field office collaborates with the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office, U. S.

Marshals Service, and U. S. Forest Service to continue the investigation. The U. S.

Marshals Service has issued a reward of up to $20,000 for information directly leading to Decker's arrest, who is considered armed and dangerous. Authorities emphasize the importance of public assistance in locating Decker, urging anyone with information to call 911. The investigation remains ongoing, with no further updates anticipated regarding the recent search. Continued efforts will build on the knowledge gained from electronic mapping of the area.
