Jay Nyce claimed the championship title at the Lake Chelan Men’s Golf Association President’s Cup, concluding the double elimination match play tournament in August. The summer-long competition began in May with 34 club members participating in head-to-head matches. Chelan Mayor Erin McCardle presented the awards during the ceremony, highlighting the community's involvement. Nyce finished the tournament undefeated, while Tom Fagerholm secured second place after advancing through the loser’s bracket. Tom Christopherson and Dan Dedo followed in third and fourth places, respectively, with Andy Cervarich and Cliff House tying for fifth.

The association thanked the Chelan Valley community for its contributions to student scholarship fundraising. Proceeds from the Apple Cup Tournament, along with donations, support scholarships for graduating seniors from Chelan and Manson. The club also provides financial assistance to the boys’ and girls’ golf teams at both schools for unfunded costs.
