Despite low fire behavior recently, forecasted rising temperatures and thunderstorms could heighten fire activity, prompting caution among crews. Workers are preparing contingency lines along the Entiat and Chiwawa Rivers by thinning dense vegetation to mitigate risks. The fire currently poses no threat to the Pacific Crest Trail, which remains 12 air miles away. A Level 1 Fire Advisory is in effect for Holden Village, including the nearby Rio Tinto Mine water treatment plant.

The Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest has enacted a closure order, and unauthorized drone activity is prohibited in the area due to a Temporary Flight Restriction.
