Wellness Place is accepting nominations for its NCW Cancer Heroes event, which celebrates individuals who have significantly impacted the lives of cancer patients. The nomination period ends on August 1, with the awards ceremony slated for September 6 at the Wenatchee Convention Center. Community members can nominate cancer warriors, survivors, caregivers, and supportive local businesses. Each nomination comes with a $120 fee, which includes public acknowledgment and a free ticket to the event. Proceeds will fund Wellness Place’s free programs that assist individuals and families dealing with cancer across North Central Washington.

Executive Director Marissa Collins highlights the need to recognize more local heroes. The event will feature a formal evening with dinner, musical performances, and an after-party. Sponsors include Confluence Health and Wenatchee Valley Medical Group, among others.
