Chelan County seeks Purple Heart recipients for 2025 Hall of Honor

Chelan County is calling for nominations of Purple Heart recipients for the 2025 Hall of Honor induction. This initiative honors U. S. military service members from Chelan and Douglas counties who suffered injuries or lost their lives in combat. Nominations are accepted for both living and deceased individuals, with family members permitted to submit applications.

Amber Hallberg, the Community Services manager, highlighted the significance of recognizing local heroes and their sacrifices. Interested individuals can find the Hall of Honor Inductee form on the Chelan County website, with a submission deadline of July 18. The county declared itself a Purple Heart County in 2024, establishing an annual recognition ceremony for these brave service members. The induction ceremony is scheduled for August 7, from 3:30 to 5:30 p. m.
