The City of Chehalis will initiate its chip seal program on a selection of roads from April to August 2025, with work scheduled Monday through Thursday from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm. Affected roads include SW 1st Ave. , SW 3rd Ave. , SW 5th Ave. , and SW William St.

The program aims to enhance road durability and is part of the city's street preservation strategy. Weather conditions may cause delays, and residents are advised to drive slowly and cautiously in construction zones. Fritz Beierle, Street/Storm Superintendent, emphasizes the importance of community cooperation during this period. The chip seal method is designed to extend the life of the roads while minimizing disruption. The city thanks its residents for their understanding and patience throughout the project.
