Baylor Community Mourns the Passing of Dr. Bill Stacy
The Baylor community is grieving the loss of Dr. Bill Stacy, who served as headmaster from 2004 to 2009 and was a prominent leader in Chattanooga. His tenure included the dedication of the Aquatic Center, Worsham Wrestling Arena, and Harrison Hall, along with significant renovations that transformed the campus. Chris Angel, Baylor's Head of School, highlighted Stacy's commitment to education and his lasting legacy of devotion to students. Under his leadership, new opportunities for student leadership and faculty development were established, including the Abshire trip to Washington, D.
C. and Global Study Grants. Reflecting on his time at Baylor, Dr. Stacy emphasized the importance of student interaction and the spirit of the student body. His contributions have left an indelible mark on the school’s culture and community.
