Chattanooga Public Library Kicks Off Summer Reading Program
Chattanooga Public Library launches its Make. Play. Read. Learn. summer reading program this Saturday, providing fun activities at all five library locations.
The program invites participants of all ages to sign up and track their reading, with special incentives for children under five and K-12 students, including a welcome packet with a free book and a YMCA Guest Pass. The initiative concludes on July 19 with an all-ages finale party at First Horizon Pavilion, aiming to foster literacy and community engagement. Additionally, over 3,000 volunteers recently honored veterans by placing 49,800 flags at Chattanooga National Cemetery, showcasing community spirit. The library's program reflects a broader commitment to enhancing educational resources and family activities during the summer months. Chattanooga continues to prioritize literacy and community involvement through such initiatives.
