Provide feedback on Washingtons draft Comprehensive Climate Action Plan
Washington encourages public participation in shaping its draft Comprehensive Climate Action Plan (CCAP) from June 30 to August 22, 2025. This plan aims to establish a comprehensive roadmap for reducing greenhouse gas emissions across the state. It includes 36 proposed strategies and seeks to address the needs of overburdened communities through careful analysis of benefits and impacts. Citizens can engage by attending virtual kickoff meetings and listening sessions or submitting written comments via a public comment form. The CCAP will evaluate historical emissions data from 1990 to 2021 and project future emissions through 2050 based on current policies.
Feedback will influence which greenhouse gas reduction measures are prioritized and how they will be implemented. The final version of the CCAP is slated for completion by December 1, 2025, reflecting a collaborative effort with tribes, communities, and experts. Input on training programs and workforce studies will also be considered during the planning process.
