Des Moines' Mayor Dave Kaplan shared that the long-delayed Des Moines Creek Business Park is ready for development, with ground-breaking expected soon. He also mentioned the nearing completion of highway access improvements and the anticipated opening of a new five-star hotel in June 2015. SeaTac's Mayor Mia Gregerson pointed to the commencement of Sound Transit’s light rail line extension, which is expected to enhance connectivity.

The mayors underscored their cities' collaborative efforts in economic development and infrastructure upgrades. Local crime rates have also decreased, contributing to community safety and well-being. Overall, these developments signify a promising future for the Highline area's economy.
