Discover Burien Seeking Volunteers For Highline Garden Tour June 11th

Burien, WALocal News

Discover Burien seeks volunteers to assist with the Highline Garden Tour on June 11th, which runs from 10 a. m. to 5 p. m. across five gardens in Normandy Park, SeaTac, and Burien.

The self-guided tour will feature local musicians, artists, and raffles for gardening gifts, enhancing community engagement. Volunteers are needed for three shifts: morning, afternoon, and mid-afternoon, with no gardening experience required, according to Event Manager Debra George. Orientation sessions for volunteers will occur on June 4th and June 8th at the Historical Society’s Collections Facility, located at the former Seattle Christian School. Volunteers will help make the event enjoyable for attendees and support local gardening initiatives. Discover Burien encourages community participation in this annual event, which fosters local connections and appreciation for gardening.

Interested individuals can reach out to Debra George via email or phone for more information.
