The Highline Area Radio Club (HARC) will host the ARRL Field Day on June 25, 2022, from 11 a. m. to 9 p. m. at Marvista Park in Normandy Park.

This free event invites attendees of all ages to learn about emergency communications through Ham Radio, allowing hands-on participation in radio operations. HARC demonstrates its capabilities in emergency situations, serving the Highline area, which encompasses Burien, SeaTac, Des Moines, Normandy Park, and North Highline. Participants can engage in practical experiences, trying their hand at communicating over the airwaves. This event emphasizes the significance of amateur radio in emergencies and promotes community awareness about communication technologies.
