White Center Food Banks Taste of White Center returns Saturday, June 28

The White Center Food Bank will host its "Taste of White Center" event on June 28, from 11 a. m. to 3 p. m. at 16th Ave SW and 98th Street.

The festival showcases over 30 local restaurants, including favorites like Puffy Pandy and Salvadorean Bakery, offering $5 tastings of various dishes. Proceeds from ticket sales will support the food bank, which served over 13,600 individuals and distributed 1. 6 million pounds of food in 2024. Each $5 ticket can be exchanged for a small plate, drink, or dessert at participating eateries. A printed menu with dish descriptions and a map will be provided to attendees.

The event will also feature music, a kids’ activity area, and other family-friendly attractions. This festival not only celebrates the neighborhood’s culinary diversity but also raises crucial funds for food access programs. The food bank has long been a vital resource for the South King County community.
