In a troubling incident early Thursday morning, a King County Sheriff’s Deputy sustained minor injuries when a suspect rammed their SUV into her patrol car during a traffic stop in Burien. The collision occurred around 4:15 a. m. near S. 116th Street and 1st Ave South.

After damaging the deputy's vehicle, the suspect fled the scene, also ramming a second patrol SUV. King County Sheriff’s detectives are actively pursuing leads and continue their investigation into the suspect's whereabouts. This incident raises significant concerns about the safety of law enforcement officers during traffic stops. Traffic-related incidents involving suspects fleeing have been a growing issue in the region.
