UPDATE All seawall debris has been removed from Seahurst Park

Burien, WALocal News

Seahurst Park's restoration project is on track for a spring completion, signaling a significant milestone for the community. Large rock materials from the beach have been recycled into various sizes for infrastructure use, while beach grading has seen substantial progress. Imported beach gravel has been placed to enhance the park's shoreline. Tide-dependent activities, such as grading and material placement, are ongoing and typically occur at low tides. Night work will be conducted from January 20 to January 23, focusing on the efficient handling of materials.

The project aims to restore ecological balance and improve public access to the park. Burien Council previously approved a budget of $450,000 to support these efforts. The restoration not only enhances the local environment but also revitalizes community engagement with the park.
