Michael Jennings was arrested by US Marshals in Florida on suspicion of kidnapping, robbery, and attempted murder of a Burien man. The arrest took place on July 28, 2021, after a tip from Washington's Most Wanted led authorities to Jennings' whereabouts on Candy Kitchen Road in Chipley, Florida. Jennings was wanted for a $200,000 warrant following an alleged kidnapping incident in May 2021, during which he reportedly assaulted the victim, Beau Nathan, who described being beaten while Jennings casually washed dishes. After a brief standoff with law enforcement, Jennings surrendered and now awaits extradition to Washington. The King County Sheriff’s Office highlighted the collaborative efforts with the US Marshals, emphasizing the importance of teamwork in returning fugitives.

Jennings' case had previously garnered attention in mid-July as detectives searched extensively for him. The Sheriff’s Office reiterated their commitment to pursuing and apprehending felons, regardless of their location in the United States. This arrest underscores ongoing efforts to ensure public safety and bring suspects to justice.
