Woman arrested, charged with attempted kidnapping at Angle Lake Sept. 7

Burien, WALocal News

Tiffany Leigh Murdock, 27, attempted to kidnap a two-year-old boy while he was holding his mother’s hand at Angle Lake Park in SeaTac on September 7, 2021. Murdock was arrested after community members provided tips following the release of her photos. She faces charges of kidnapping and is being held on $150,000 bail due to the serious nature of the allegations. The boy’s mother, who is seven months pregnant, was hospitalized after Murdock threw her to the ground during the incident. Good Samaritans rescued the child and returned him to his mother.

Murdock's defense attorney contends that she has no felony convictions and cannot afford bail. The King County Sheriff’s Office describes Murdock's actions as "brazen and extremely dangerous. " The case highlights concerns about safety in public spaces and the importance of community vigilance.
