The Men in Black Birthday Bash, part of the MIBBB Fest, will take place on June 21, 2025, at the Quarterdeck in Des Moines. This annual celebration invites guests to don black-and-white outfits and enjoy an array of themed entertainment, including music and comedy. The program launches at 6:22 p. m. with a countdown to the “Great Synchronization,” marking the anniversary of the first Man in Black sighting.

Attendees can look forward to the MIBBBY Awards for best costumes, mission boxes filled with event swag, and a humorous annual report addressing grievances with Roswell’s UFO-industrial complex. The event theme, “Sparky’s Revenge,” pays tribute to a dog allegedly harmed by UFO debris, adding a unique touch to the festivities. Additional events throughout the week include a look-alike contest and a film screening, all aimed at celebrating the Maury Island Incident of 1947. This festival, founded in 2022 by local residents, aims to share the intriguing history of the area. Tickets for all events are available via EventBrite.
