On May 7, 2025, Burien Police arrested a suspected drug trafficker linked to the Sinaloa Cartel, seizing $638,000 worth of narcotics. The operation, spearheaded by the Sheriff’s Office Precinct 4 Special Emphasis Team, received crucial assistance from K9 Quinn and other specialized units. Authorities confiscated 9. 45 pounds of heroin, 4. 25 pounds of cocaine, 1.

7 pounds of fentanyl powder, and 8,400 M-30 fentanyl pills, disrupting a significant source of illicit drugs in King County. The targeted distribution networks spanned Burien, Seattle, and Shoreline, highlighting the widespread nature of the local drug trade. Officials acknowledged K9 Quinn's role in the operation, which underscores the importance of specialized law enforcement teams in combating drug trafficking. One suspect was arrested and booked into jail for multiple counts of possession and intent to sell, indicating the serious legal repercussions of these activities.
