Burien's Walk-n-Talk event on May 4 at 2:00 p. m. invites residents to discover hidden pathways in the Hazel Valley area. Meeting at the New Start Community Garden, participants will embark on a 2. 5-mile walk that blends paved streets with secret trails.

The event encourages social engagement, active living, and supports Burien's health vision. Attendees can walk at their own pace, and pets are welcome, enhancing community inclusivity. After the walk, participants can explore the garden and appreciate student art displayed along the fence. This monthly gathering has united neighbors since August 2011, promoting conversation and exercise. The walk aims to highlight alternative routes for walkers and cyclists, potentially reducing traffic on busy streets.
