On April 24, 2025, the Seattle Southside Chamber gathered over 100 leaders in business, education, and government for its Education and Workforce Summit to strengthen the student-to-career pipeline. Highline School Board President Joe Van led a panel discussion that highlighted the necessity of collaborative action to tackle regional workforce challenges. Mayor Dana Ralph expressed that the community must unite to support students transitioning into the workforce.
