Burien, WALocal News

The Highline Public Schools Board of Directors is actively seeking candidates to fill the vacant Director District 3 seat after the retirement of long-serving member Susan Goding. Goding, who served for ten years, intends to pursue advocacy work in math education across Washington State. To qualify for the position, applicants must be registered voters in Washington State and reside within District 3. Interested individuals should submit their applications and resumes to the provided email address by March 20, 2015. The School Board will evaluate the applications and announce the finalists during the April 1 meeting.

A new director will be elected in November 2015 to complete the remaining two years of Goding's term. This transition underscores the importance of community involvement in local education governance. Goding's departure marks a significant change for the Board, highlighting the need for new leadership.
