Navos will inaugurate its Independence Bridge facility on Thursday, Oct. 23, from 9 a. m. to noon, with Rep. Jim McDermott speaking at 10:45 a.

m. The facility aims to assist at-risk young adults, ages 18-24, transitioning from foster care to independence, offering vital support services. The 7. 5-acre campus will feature outpatient programs, housing, a primary care clinic, and therapeutic spaces for art, dance, and music. The natural setting on Lake Burien provides a serene environment for healing and growth.

Program staff will also present at the opening, and refreshments will be available. This initiative responds to the urgent need for comprehensive services for youth aging out of the foster system.
