Navos shows off new Behavioral Healthcare Center at Lake Burien campus

The Navos Behavioral Healthcare Center for Children, Youth & Families is set to open on October 23 on its Lake Burien campus. This facility will merge services from Navos, Ruth Dykeman Children’s Center, and Seattle Children’s Home to better support vulnerable youth and families in South King County. It will provide various programs, including outpatient services, transitional housing for young adults, and inpatient care for children and teens. The center aims to foster a safe, therapeutic environment for children affected by trauma, neglect, or abuse. The campus spans 7.

5 acres and will feature outdoor recreation areas and spaces for adjunctive therapies like art and music. Local officials highlight the significance of this center in meeting mental health needs within the community. The initiative reflects a growing recognition of the importance of integrated behavioral healthcare services. As the center prepares to open, it represents a crucial step toward enhancing support for families in the region.
