Burien, WALocal News

The Highline High School Booster Club announced the postponement of its "Dancing Through the Decades" celebration, originally scheduled for May 3, 2025, due to insufficient ticket sales. This decision was made during a board meeting on April 22. Organizers are optimistic that rescheduling the celebration for the fall, around the time of the school's 100th Homecoming, will enhance attendance from alumni and the broader Burien community. The board expressed both regret and gratitude for the understanding shown by supporters in light of this decision. Those who have already purchased tickets or made donations will receive communications offering refunds or the option to retain their tickets for the new date.

The Booster Club emphasized its ongoing commitment to supporting Highline High School’s student athletes and extracurricular activities. This event marks a significant milestone for the school, celebrating its centennial. Community involvement is crucial for the success of these events, highlighting the importance of alumni engagement.
