Normandy Park to celebrate Arbor Day Saturday with free trees, compost, and more

Normandy Park will celebrate Arbor Day on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 10 a. m. to noon at Marvista Park, featuring a range of community-focused activities. The event includes free tree giveaways, educational stations, and a compost giveaway, where residents should bring their own bags or 5-gallon buckets. An “Ask the Arborist” station will provide expert tree-care advice, while other activities will encompass crafts, a book exchange, and live music.

Parking is available at Marvista School for added convenience. City officials encourage participation, emphasizing the importance of environmental education. This annual event aims to foster community engagement and awareness about local ecology. All giveaways will be offered while supplies last, enhancing the sense of urgency for attendance.
